For the first time, the premiums and benefits you have granted to healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and/or patient organisations will be made public on www.betransparent.be in accordance with the provisions of the Sunshine Act.
You have until 31 May 2018 at the latest to upload your file containing the premiums and benefits granted in 2017, via the link “I am a company” on the website www.betransparent.be. Please strictly respect this legal deadline; once May 31 at midnight, the Extranet of the website will be closed and you will no longer be able to upload your file within the deadline set by the Sunshine Act.
Remember that an upload is necessary even if your company has not granted any premium or benefit in 2017. For more information, see the “Practical and Technical Modalities” available on the Extranet.
When completing your file, please follow the guidelines outlined in the “Practical and Technical Modalities”. Also make sure to follow the procedure until its completion (6 steps to follow and 3 emails to receive: see the Practical and Technical Modalities).
One last important reminder: if your company has granted a premium or benefit to a healthcare professional exercising under a SPRL/BVBA, the Sunshine Act provides that the publication must take place on behalf of the healthcare professional (in person) and not on behalf of his/her company (for more information see FAQ 5: click here).
If your company has not yet created an account on betransparent.be, then please proceed to this urgently. In anticipation of the final upload by the end of May, you can indeed perform several tests to ensure that everything will in order in time.
